Stator Rotor & Coil

Pretty much everything has been discounted as your problem except these 3 bits. Between them they make the electric motor that moves the hands.
This is bend is vastly exaggerated to show you what to look for. If you are very lucky you can bend it back but usually it is easier to change it. If you try to bend it back, screw coil down to the base plate and use a thin screwdriver to bend / lever it back into shape. You will be bending it just a few 100/mm so do it bit by bit. Unfortunately when the stator is bent, the thin bit, shown by the red rings is stretched, meaning it never can be perfect.

Note: if you ever see a watch going backwards this is an extreme version of the problem

  • No: Sorry I can’t suggest a solution. If you discover a problem I have not covered I would be interested to know.
