Working with the dial and movement must be done in a clean area free of dust and dirt.

The dial is held onto the the movement with 2 "feet" (Short pins). The movement holds onto the dial feet by

• Screw on side of the movement
• None circular screw on the front of the movement
• Sliding Lever
• Double sided tape (dial spots) on very cheap watches and repaired watches
• Friction

Note: there may be loose pieces that can be lost if you are not careful.

I advise using a latex glove of the left hand as this hand is more likely to touch something that can get marked. If you choose not to, then touch the movement and dial with the tweezers or on the very edge of the dial.
